The Board of County Commissioners has the responsibility to establish the geographical boundaries for county commissioner districts and to ensure that those districts are “as compact and equal in populations as possible.” By statute, the Board must review its commissioner districts at least once every three years, and if necessary, reestablish the districts to keep them lawfully proportionate in representative population.

This web site is designed to aid the public in understanding the County’s redistricting process.

Three general configurations have been developed for the Board’s consideration. Changes may occur and the final districts that are adopted by resolution may look different than the proposed maps.
